The French Public Health Society (SFSP) aims to bring together all public health stakeholders to engage in interdisciplinary and interprofessional reflection focused on action.
SFSP provides public health stakeholders
– field practitioners, researchers, policymakers, volunteers, etc.
– with a framework and resources for collective and interprofessional reflection, which relies particularly on multidisciplinary and critical analysis of scientific facts and professional practices.
Founded in 1877, SFSP is an association recognized as being of public utility. It pursues five key missions:
– acting as a platform for exchanges among health actors;
– organizing debates to contribute to the most informed decision-making possible;
– producing expertise and knowledge;
– organizing the sharing and transfer of knowledge;
– exerting influence on public policies.
SFSP organizes a biennial scientific congress bringing together the French-speaking community of public health professionals. The main French-speaking public health congress for 25 years, it brings together between 800 and 1000 participants at each edition around the sharing of knowledge and experiences for the improvement of practices.
With about twenty partner sessions and symposiums and thirty oral communication sessions, the congress also presents 160 scientific communication posters displayed during the three days. At the intersection of research, intervention, and public decision-making, the congress aims to be a space for exchange among professionals, particularly through an exhibition hall of 20 to 30 partner stands.
