The Institute of Positive Economy advocates and supports actors: citizens, companies, governments, and territories, towards a positive economy. Every year, the LH Forum is an essential meeting for positive cities and territories. For its ninth edition in Le Havre, the forum’s ambition was to bring together all the committed actors for a positive and sustainable economic transition and to highlight the experiences of cities around the world. This year’s challenge was to create a hybrid event to gather an increasing number of participants from all over the world. In the end, the ninth edition had more than 1000 people, with two-thirds of them attending online.
To best support this event, we implemented a white-label native mobile application and a dedicated web platform so that spectators from around the world could directly follow the Forum in streaming from home. Additionally, the application allowed spectators to keep an eye on a complex agenda (with clear and simplified formatting using tracks) that was constantly updated. The interactivity tools were also massively used and proved to be essential to maintain a high level of interaction, especially when organizing a phygital event.
Another need was to showcase more than 100 speakers present at the LH Forum, including many notable personalities: Edouard Philippe, Anne Hidalgo, Mike Horn… To enhance their presence, we implemented a speakers module by creating dedicated biographical pages for each and directly attaching their speech sessions, aiming to facilitate the visibility of their schedules. For the first time, participants could follow the LH Forum conferences in streaming and many did so! We can only congratulate this wonderful collaboration between the Institute of Positive Economy and Invent App.
