The European Annual Conference on Safety and Reliability (ESREL) is an international congress organized under the auspices of the European Safety and Reliability Association (ESRA).
For over 30 years, ESREL has been one of the essential annual events for meetings and knowledge exchange to innovate for better risk management and optimization of socio-technical systems performance.
It is a true place of conviviality for the safety and reliability specialist community (in a broad sense).
ESREL aimed to realize its idea of a hybrid event for the European conference of 2021. The digital solution created by Invent App for the occasion served as a web platform allowing remote participants to follow the event, and as an application centralizing important congress information for the on-site audience.
The event totaled 500 people on-site and 500 remotely with a complex and detailed agenda by category. 1500 speakers distributed in 11 parallel rooms were solicited and 1500 abstracts were published.
Interactivity was also a major element throughout the event, notably through the “Ask Questions” feature implemented in each room. ESREL successfully showcased its sponsors as well as the exhibitors of the event on the platform.
“We were generally satisfied with Invent App. The agenda, the video display, the document management related to the authors, as well as the abstracts were the most important functions for our conference and made a difference in the hybridization process.
We also appreciated the project management and support provided by Invent App. We particularly highlight the real proximity and reactivity of the team to find solutions and adapt to our situation. The various data exchanges of the application were not too complex but required upstream preparation with the conference databases.”
