The French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) is a public institution dedicated to the protection and restoration of biodiversity in mainland France and overseas, under the supervision of the ministries responsible for ecology and agriculture.
The International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC 5) aimed to promote the French delegation and its program via a “French Corner” application to provide participants on-site with privileged access to the French-speaking sessions of the congress and to documentation from the OFB and French partner structures. The chat and exchanges via the app’s feed strengthened the French-speaking network with the French delegation present at the event.
The OFB wanted to create “a dynamic and interactive communication strategy, allowing all French, French-speaking, and other countries present to quickly learn about the importance of the French delegation and the offered sessions on the topic of marine protected areas, as well as the different French structures present, and the documentation on each of them to provide external partners with information and a better understanding of us. Additionally, it aimed to highlight our stand, promote it, and position alongside the official program offered by the congress site. We also wanted to promote our French speakers.”
